Anse Dahlia Kasswani serves as a Tafsīr instructor at the Ribaat Academic Institute. Anse Dahlia earned her degree in English Literature and continued on to study Early Childhood Development in Chicago. She pursued her Islamic education in Damascus, which included in-depth studies of tafsīr, sīra, fiqh, and ʿaqīda. She is proficient in tajwīd and gained a certificate in recitation of 15 juz’ and is now working on gaining her ijāza in Quran recitation in the UAE.
Born in Egypt and raised in Syria, Anse Dahlia has also lived in the United States and Canada. As an English Literature graduate, Anse Dahlia pursued her passion for English through courses, communicating with native speakers, reading, and teaching
For the last 10 years she has taught English in schools, supervised youth groups, and has provided young adult programs for Muslim girls. She also works closely with young women at her local Masjid. She is currently married with three grown children and lives in Dubai, UAE.
Anse Dahlia has been teaching tafsīr with Ribaat since 2015.
