Nagina Kausar is originally from Bangalore, India, and also lived in Saudi Arabia while growing up. Currently, she lives in Phoenix, Arizona, with her husband and 3 sons. She received her bachelor’s degree from India, and is a homemaker extraordinaire. In 2018, a friend and mentor introduced Nagina to the Ribaat Academic Program. Since then, Nagina has excelled as a student and found the program quite beneficial in her life.
“It has helped build up my confidence,” shares Nagina. “I can already see improvement in the subjects I have taken so far, Alhamdulillah.”
With this newfound passion for learning, Nagina hopes to create the same passion in others as well. She states that it is important to learn our religion and then be able to apply it properly into practice. She has found inspiration from her Ribaat teachers and classmates.
“It is a great feeling to be surrounded by people who share this same passion for learning,” says Nagina about her Ribaat experience thus far. “I want to create that same desire amongst my own circles and those near and dear to me.”
Nagina used to love to embroider, crochet and knit, but now enjoys spending her time studying and cooking. She also likes to plan camping and day trips with family and friends and stay active socially.
“We like to include everyone in our activities, and I look forward to being able to share what I’m learning with those close to me,” Nagina states. “Thank you to the Ribaat team for this honor of being Student of the Month.”
